What we do

When Compactors Direct was established in 1987 our main focus was on supplying waste and recycling reduction equipment. In recent years we have also recognised the need to provide a total waste management solution while adhering to all the latest waste legislation and regulations. We allocate a dedicated account manager to each of our customers and we operate on a 24/7, 365 days a year basis. We do not use impersonal call centres and emails are answered within a matter of hours. Our customers are our first priority and we pride ourselves in offering them a first-class service and helping them to become zero to landfill.

Dry mixed recycling
Dry mixed recycling (DMR) is a simple and innovative service that enables you to improve your recycling performance and save money whilst ensuring minimal disruption to business. Recycled materials include all paper, cardboard, plastic, tin and aluminium cans.

Glass recycling
Segregating glass offers a significant cost reduction, mainly due to the government landfill tax, which is charged by weight. Glass itself is extremely heavy and can make up as much as 90% of the commercial waste stream for bars, nightclubs, cafes, restaurants and coffee shops.

RDF recycling
At Compactors Direct we understand that sometimes companies are just not able to separate all of their materials for recycling. As we believe that no waste need go to landfill, this waste is instead sent to be converted to residual derived fuel (RDF) for energy.

Food recycling
All the food waste we collect is taken to a specialist compost facility that turns it into a graded compost within seven days – one of the fastest compost processes in Europe.

Confidential shredding
We provide a full and confidential shredded recycling collection, with shredding implemented either on or off site. Full certificates are provided.

WEEE recycling
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) recycling is a growing waste stream in the UK, which has gained increased attention and media focus as a result of the WEEE Directive legislation (2007). Businesses and public organisations by law are required to dispose of and recycle WEEE in an ethical and environmentally friendly manner.

If you are looking for a total waste management provider to work in partnership with you to reduce your costs and carbon footprint and to increase your recycling rates, Compactors Direct are your solution. Why not contact us today?
